The revamped Travel Telford buses, among the few directly operated by a UK council, feature bold new colours and graphics to make services instantly recognisable.

Fares remain capped at £2, and passengers will see several improvements, including more frequent timetables, extended early evening and weekend coverage, a new Saturday service, and better access to travel information.

Since launching in 2022, the service has carried more than 650,000 passengers, with a target of 750,000 journeys set for the end of 2025.

Cllr Ollie Vickers, Cabinet Member for Economy and Transport, said the service is designed around residents’ needs: ‘We’re keeping communities connected. Buses aren’t just transport, they’re a lifeline. Whether it’s getting to work, school, hospital, or seeing loved ones, we’re working to fill gaps in service so no one is left behind.’
