Katie Swingler has been appointed as the new compliance manager of Licence Bureau.

Katie will oversee Licence Bureau's corporate compliance programme that acts as an objective body to review and evaluate business's compliance issues and concerns.

Her role will also involve ensuring all Licence Bureau staff are fully compliant with the rules and regulations of all relevant regulatory bodies and that company policies and procedures are being followed.

The licence checking and compliance company has also appointed five additional team members on an apprenticeship scheme with West Herts College. They'll be studying towards their NVQ in Business Administration or in IT and Telecoms during their tenure, reflecting the job roles they'll be undertaking with Licence Bureau.

This enables those studying to further their knowledge and gain qualifications in areas such as data handling, Health and Safety, customer communications and managing internal software. This demonstrates Licence Bureau's commitment to nurturing young, local talent in an industry that offers a strong mix of professional and personal skills.

The appointments have prompted the Hemel Hempstead-based to expand its offices after a period of sustained growth.

Malcolm Maycock, managing director of Licence Bureau, said: 'Katie's role underpins the business forming a solid foundation for further growth by placing us in the best possible position to deliver client services and growth to the highest standards.

'The enthusiasm of our new team members, who are also studying at West Herts College, demonstrates that licence checking and the overall compliance industry is becoming an increasingly appealing career choice because of the diverse range of roles on offer'
