South Kesteven District Council has backed a £2.6m spend on replacement fleet vehicles.

The decision was approved in a meeting on Tuesday, during which cabinet members were asked to support plans to procure 54 new fleet vehicles.
Among the vehicles to be acquired are panel vans, sweepers and caged tippers, which will support the council in delivering key services such as waste management and street scene work.
In a decision report, it is confirmed that the replacement vehicles are ‘required to ensure the Council can meet its statutory duties’.
The vehicles will be purchased over three years, with part of the cost subsidised by the council’s general fund and a further 27 assets being backed by funding from the HRA for the Council's Housing Services.
