The procurement brings the proportion of electric vehicles (EVs) within the local authority’s fleet from 1% to 8%.
Funding from Wales’ Energy Service has also enabled the council to install 19 EV chargers across three depots and the county hall.
The six rapid and 13 fast chargers will help the fleet remain operational with minimal downtime, the council said.
Another 18 chargers have been bought and are awaiting installation.
Carmarthenshire’s cabinet member for climate change, decarbonisation and sustainability services, Aled Vaughan Owen, said: ‘The work to transition our fleet and ensure appropriate charging infrastructure not only aligns with our ambition to reduce carbon emissions but also plays a vital role in creating a healthier environment for all residents.’
