Fleet managers have reported that vehicle cameras and CCTV technology have significantly reduce incident reports and personal injury claims.

A new survey by Brigade Electronics found more than half of fleet managers and drivers say the tech has improved driver behaviour.

Nearly half (47%) also said incident reports had decreased after installation, while 29% had seen personal injury claims fall.

Chris Hanson-Abbott of Brigade Electronics, said: 'The survey results demonstrate the tangible benefits of installing cameras on fleet vehicles. As well as reducing accidents, the technology can generate significant savings on insurance bills and costly personal injury claims.'

The survey found 73% of fleet managers and drivers said they installed cameras to improve safety standards, 57% did so to reduce insurance costs, and 54% said it was to improve driver behaviour.
