Hammersmith & Fulham Council have partnered with Veolia to add eight new electric cargo bikes to their fleet.

The fleet now includes eight electric cargo bikes, eight electric vans, three electric street cleansing cage vehicles, and one electric refuse collection vehicle.

The council and Veolia said the new cargo bikes will help improve air quality but will also improve service efficiencies as they can reach narrower routes.

Cllr Sharon Holder, Hammersmith & Fulham Cabinet Member for Public Realm, commented: ‘Our waste team continues to ensure H&F’s parks and streets are safe and clean for residents, visitors and local wildlife. The new vehicles will help us go one step further as the waste team will now also be helping to reduce air pollution while they work.’
