Monmouthshire CC invests in in-ground brake testing for fleet

Monmouthshire County Council has purchased an in-ground brake tester from Totalkare to support its commercial vehicles.

As part of the maintenance of its municipal waste and passenger transport vehicle fleet, the local authority has acquired the brake tester as a permanent testing solution for its workshop.

According to Totalkare, the equipment aims to deliver ‘accurate and reliable brake performance measurements’ for the council’s commercial vehicles in advance of MOT inspections.

The investment will assist the council in reducing vehicle downtime and increasing fleet availability, with testing processes being completed on-site.

Furthermore, Totalkare ensured that the necessary groundworks were carried out to ‘provide the council with a complete solution from initial preparation through to installation of the testing equipment’.

An Area Sales Manager for Totalkare, commented: ‘Providing the brake tester alongside facilitating the necessary groundworks meant we could offer a complete solution, helping to simplify the installation process for the council.

‘The new in-ground brake tester will provide a reliable, long-term testing solution that supports the council’s workshop and fleet operations.’
