Deep Drill solves Bridgend’s water logging problems

When Bridgend Bowling Club found their green was holding water and becoming at times very slow and occasionally unplayable, they brought in Terrain Aeration. However, there were fears that deep drilling with the Terralift operating system would damage underground services which were known to run beneath the green.

Terrain Aeration offered an alternative solution using a Deep Drill which only penetrates to a depth of 300mm straight down and up with minimum surface disruption. The result was successful, trouble-free treatment which resulted in a healthier green which dries more quickly after rainfall giving a firmer, faster and more wear-tolerant grass sward.
