The company, which provides weighing solutions for the waste management industry, said its ‘super tough’ load cell could withstand impacts encountered during collections.
The firm said the cell had been trialled in the UK by waste management operators for more than a year with a 100% success rate, so it met billable ‘pay-by-weight’ legal standards.
c-trace’s UK sales director, Ian Martin, said: ‘Even with experienced drivers, load cells inevitably get knocked about. But the SC series cell handles it superbly.
‘The sensor is cleverly designed to withstand negative pressure and it accurately weighs containers of more than 2,000kg without compromising the lifting operation at all.’
c-trace has also introduced an AI camera designed for contaminant detection in paper and cardboard collections.
The camera provides photographic evidence for enforcement if contamination is detected.
