A road collision in Leicestershire this week, which involved a bin lorry, resulted in ‘pretty immense’ damage and disruption, police have said.

A Rutland County Council bin lorry and a car collided on the Greetham Road just outside Cottesmore on Monday (24 February).
Images share by Rutland Police show a severely damaged car and a bin lorry being pulled out of a ditch, but the force said no one had been injured.
The council said it was awaiting the outcome of an investigation into the cause of the collision.
PC Edd McKinnon said: ‘My thanks go out to the Fire and Rescue service, Crouch Recovery and Biffa, who all worked quickly to make everything safe and get the road up and running again.
‘Collisions like this serve as a timely reminder that it's not always excessive speed that causes accidents.’
