Coventry City Council takes delivery of three new trucks

Coventry City Council has begun taking delivery of new refuse collection vehicles as part of a programme to replace 20 lorries scheduled for renewal during 2025 and 2026.

Three vehicles registered with 2026 number plates arrived on 10 April, with the remaining four of the 20 due to arrive over the coming weeks. Sixteen have been delivered to date.

The fleet renewal comes as the council also prepares for changes to its collections service under the Government’s national waste reforms.

Coventry will introduce a separate food waste caddy later this year, with new collections due to begin in September.
