All-terrain vehicle gets stuck in sand

A small all-terrain vehicle (ATV) was being used to patrol Branksome Beach when it got stuck at 9:45am on Saturday (11 May).

Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council said sand could present operational challenges even for four-wheel drive vehicles.

A larger patrol vehicle was sent to retrieve the ATV but was unsuccessful.

The council said a seafront tractor rescued both vehicles ‘in a safe and orderly manner’ just after midday.
