Blackburn with Darwen Council spent £300,170 on two wheelchair-accessible 10-seater minibuses, one 12-seater and one 16-seater.
The vehicles, supplied by GM Coachwork Ltd, will take six months to deliver, which the council said was currently standard due to supply issues.
Two minibuses will be used to transport children and young people to away days, activities and residentials, while two will be used to help elderly and disabled people access community events and education.
