A new Continental RV20 tyre is to be fitted to Johnston's C200 compact range of sweepers. The switch is designed to reduce whole life tyre costs while also giving exceptional performance and operator comfort.
The new ContiRV20 has been developed by Continental with the primary emphasis on reducing whole life costs. This is achieved through balancing the tread compound to minimise rolling resistance and maximise the strength of the tyre to increase damage resistance.
A new closed shoulder design significantly improves the steering “feel” over the previous IC70 tyre and the new tread pattern minimises vibration and gives a smooth road contact for greater comfort.
Because the new tyre has comparable characteristics to the IC7 tyre previously fitted on the C200 compact range, it is fully interchangeable even when mixed on and and the same axle.
