Exhibitors in the Handling and Logistics zone at RWM 2017 are set to benefit from a bigger, better and more collaborative event.

The zone - one of six dedicated zones at RWM 2017 - is the place for networking, learning and business opportunities in this dynamic sector, which are all integral to the more efficient movement and processing of waste and resources.

Highlighting innovations in the transportation of commercial, municipal, or construction waste, the Handling and Logistics zone will showcase the latest developments in safety, efficiency, and environmental compliance. This zone will host a full range of vehicles, machines and services, including the latest sweepers, refuse vehicles and skip loaders, as well as a new theatre seminar for municipal and material recovery.

Theatre seminar sessions will run throughout the three-day event and topics will include food waste, improving revenues through reuse and recycling, waste crime, monetising collection services, outsourcing, the use of data, and future technologies.

The Handling and Logistics zone also boasts a Ride and Drive demonstration area to test out the latest waste management equipment and vehicles on-site to enable delegates to gain first-hand experience of exactly what benefits they can deliver. New exhibitors for 2017 include E Power Trucks, and returning exhibitors include Dennis Eagle, Mercedes-Benz, ASH UK, and IVECO.

As well as the Handling and Logistics zone, RWM 2017 will also feature the Supply and Demand zone; the Data, Tech and Services zone; the 'Energy from Waste' zone; the 'Machinery and Equipment' zone; and the Recyclers and Reprocessors zone.

In addition, RWM 2017 will unveil a host of new and revamped features, including the RWM Connects meetings service, the CIWM Clinic, and new visitor trails. For instance, the Local Authority Solutions Trail has been designed to highlight all exhibitors and content relevant to those responsible for waste management and resource, legislative issues and fleet management.

The New Exhibitor Discovery Trail, meanwhile, will allow visitors to discover the latest exhibitors and suppliers that have joined the RWM community.

The expanded RWM 2017 event, run in partnership with the Chartered Institute of Waste Management (CIWM), brings together decision-makers and innovators from the energy, water, recycling, renewables and waste management communities.

There will also be an opportunity for delegates to relax and have fun with a four-hole crazy golf course and bar at the back of Hall Four. It is a great way to network in a relaxed setting away from the hubbub of the main show.

Taking place from 12 to 14 September at the NEC Birmingham, this year combines the previously co-located Energy, Water, Renewables and RWM events ' an expansion of the RWM proposition that reflects the merging and overlapping business opportunities in these sectors. Details of the numerous hot topics and key policy areas to be debated at RWM 2017's seminar theatre sessions are coming soon.
