Johnston Sweepers has taken delivery of the UK's first Renault Trucks sweeper-packaged Euro VIchassis.
The two 16-tonne Renault Trucks Range D 4x2 R Sweeper 250 E6s join the Johnston demo fleet after being shown off at the RWM Show on the Johnston Sweeper stand.
Nigel Butler, commercial director for Renault Trucks UK, said: 'We are delighted to be working with Johnston to introduce the first Euro VIRenault truck with a dedicated sweeper pack to the UK market.'
The Renault Trucks Range D sweeper-configured chassis option has been designed with Johnston's application engineers for Johnston V Range truck-mounted sweepers and offers Johnston's customers more choice in a market that has more than doubled since 2011.
Graham Howlett, UK sales and marketing manager for Johnston Sweepers, said: 'The Range D's heavy-duty rear axle which has up to 700kg additional payload anda fuel tank that carries an additional 40 litres, delivers longer on-station time for operators.
'The fully-glazed offside door offers improved visibility of cyclists and traffic on the right for safer operation on congested roads and the short wheelbase ensures excellent manoeuvrability.'
