Online service booking and video feedback launched by Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles

Published:  10 September, 2015

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is taking the hassle out of booking servicing and maintenance by launching an online booking tool.

The new facility enables customers to book their vehicle into their local Van Centre via an online tool available on the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles website

The step-by-step process takes a couple of minutes and allows them to select the nearest centre, the type of work required, the date and the drop-off time, from simple drop down menus and check boxes. Courtesy vehicles and collection and delivery options can also be arranged.

A system aims to help cut down costly downtime when the vehicle is not available for work and to make servicing as hassle free as possible for customers.

Volkswagen is also helping customers by introducing a video feedback platform which allows technicians to show any required work to customers via a video, speeding up the approval process for any repairs required and ensuring total transparency of the work undertaken.

The video forms part of Volkswagens’ free Express Visual Check (EVC) feedback by the service team to identify if there are any potential issues that should be brought to the attention of the owner.

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles’ Head of Service and Parts Trevor Hodgson-Phillips said: ‘The launch of these services are further proof of how we are continuing to put our customers first. Businesses rely on their vans and these new tools are designed to help speed up the booking process as well as reduce any costly downtime.’
