Apprentice (Civil Engineer Technician) Highways

Are you interested in designing and building things? Are you passionate about shaping the world around you? Then an Apprenticeship in Civil Engineering could be for you!

Civil engineering is a profession that deals with the planning, design, development, and management of engineering projects in a wide variety of disciplines covering both the physical and natural environment. As a Civil Engineer, you will improve and protect the environment in which we live, and it is a career where you can really make a difference.

You will develop skills, knowledge and experience working in the Highway Network Management Section. You will be primarily working with the Road and Street Works Coordination and Inspections Team and will train towards a level 3 in Civil Engineering.

What qualification will I gain?

You will study towards the Civil Engineering Technician Level 3 standard with a chosen training provider.

What will I need?

You must either have or expect to achieve 5 GCSE’s grade 9-4/A*-C in English and Maths or an equivalent qualification, together with good communication and ICT skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
