The revamped RWM 2018 show will feature Google Digital Garage at the NEC in Birmingham on 12 and 13 September.

Organisers say the waste industry has been struggling to switch on to modern marketing tech and practises so Google Digital Garage will host seminars discussing the best tactics and methods to become more visible online.

The move is part of new owners Prysm Media Group's pledge to give RWM a deeper focus on the business aspect of the waste industry.

'Having household names like Google appearing at RWM proves the reputation this show has amongst professionals of any industry,' said RWM event director Nick Woore.

'Having dedicated spaces to discuss the growing business side of the industry is a key reason as to why RWM will be the biggest and best it's ever been this year'

Other speakers include self-made millionaire Jacqueline O'Donovan, managing director of O'Donovan Waste Disposal. Following her Father's sudden death aged 51, Jacqueline went on to become managing director of the family business at just 19 and will be sharing her success story with visitors in the Business Growth Theatre.

Jacob Hayler of the Environmental Services Association will also be examining how local authorities can use competition to secure a better value for money and Iona Capital will lead a seminar looking at the options available for resource management in the future.
