Residents across North and East Hertfordshire have added a touch of creativity to their waste collection services by naming the new fleet of vehicles.
The winning names include ‘Sweep Caroline’ for the street sweeper, ‘Dame Foodie Dench’ for the food waste collection truck, and ‘Binderella’ for the refuse collection vehicle.
The naming competition, organized by North Herts Council, received an overwhelming response from the community. A panel consisting of councillors, waste team members, and Veolia crews selected the names based on creativity and community engagement.
The newly named vehicles are now operational, bringing both functionality and fun to the community's waste management services.
