CMS Supatrak managing director Jason Airey has been appointed to a senior advisory group within the waste industry.

The RWM Waste Ambassador's Group invited Jason to join the panel because they recognised that CMS Supatrak, who are specialists in connected fleet management, share their vision of implementing best practice in compliance and safety across the industry.

The Waste Ambassadors Group is run by RWM in partnership with The Chartered Institution of Waste Management (CIWM). It brings together some of the sector's leading thinkers who collectively ensure that RWM reflects and meets the needs of the dynamic and fast-changing sector and works to shape the future direction of the industry.

Jason joins a panel of Ambassadors, which includes representatives from leading national and international businesses, such as Dennis Eagle, Unilever UK, Jaguar-Landrover, Suez, BAM Construct and SITA UK.

CIWM chief executive Steve Lee said: 'I am delighted that Jason is joining the Ambassadors Group. The strength of the group is that it represents the whole of the resources cycle and is very forward-looking. CMS Supatrak fits that bill nicely and I look forward to Jason's contribution to our work'

Jason Airey added: 'We've worked with a number of the organisations involved in the Ambassadors programme over the years in promoting best practice in driver safety and fleet logistics.

'To be invited to be part of this expert group is a great signal of the benefits of the work we've have already been involved with and it is an exciting opportunity to have a real impact in making the sector safer for everyone'
