A bin lorry was forced to dump 10 tonnes of rubbish in a car park after what is thought to have been a discarded vape sparked a fire.

Broxtowe Borough Council said its teams were working to clear up the discarded refuse and warned residents not to dispose of lithium batteries.
A spokesperson for Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service (NFRS) said: ‘Approximately 10 tonnes of rubbish were in the vehicle – the rubbish was emptied on to a designated space confirmed by the council for firefighters to extinguish the fire.’
