Generator specialist Dieselec Thistle Generators (DTG) has appointed Robert Gibson to the newly created role of operations manager.

The strategic appointment of Robert, who joins the business from Apex Power Solutions, will help support the growth of the Service Division, while working alongside the management team to ensure continuous improvement throughout the business, maintaining levels of service and assisting managers to promote the company's compliance culture.

Robert joins the business following three other recent appointees including a new workshop engineer, a project install engineer and a finance assistant. This takes the total number of people employed at the DTG Glasgow head office to 60.

Dieselec Thistle managing director Paul Moore said: 'As we gear up to continue the organic growth of our business, we are delighted to welcome aboard Robert and his new colleagues.

'Recruiting and retaining the best people in our industry is vital and these three new appointments will help to bolster our expanding team of professionals and continue to meet the needs of our growing customer base'

DTG supplies, installs and maintains diesel generators for many of the UK's major blue-chip brands across a diverse range of sectors, including NHS, Network Rail, HSBC, Scottish Power, EDF Energy and Land Securities.
