In a statement last Friday, the city council said: ‘We are co-operating fully with the Police and the Health and Safety Executive and supporting all staff.
‘The thoughts of everyone at Coventry City Council are with the family and friends.’
The council temporarily stopped all bin collections to provide support for crew members and restarted them again today.
