£36-40,000 Basic plus a lucrative bonus designed to reward enterprise and hard work, along with a choice of either company car or car allowance.

Our client is an international world leader in the manufacture and sale of cleaning equipment for both domestic and commercial use, trading across more than fifty countries worldwide and with a brand leading presence in each of the territories.

We have been briefed to identify and recruit an accomplished individual to work in the Municipal / commercial side of the UK business, to both manage the existing business stream, as well as to identify and convert new business opportunities. You should be commercially savvy and entrepreneurial by nature, and your new business skills should be as well polished as your account management experience. Although opportunities abound, you will very much need an energetic and proactive approach in order to first identify and then convert these to business.

Experience of selling into either local authorities and/ or street cleansing contractors would present a significant advantage. This is not a quick sales process, and exposure to tendering, although not essential, would also be something of a bonus. Previous product experience should be in high value capital equipment please, and might include cleaning / sweeping equipment, refuse/recycling vehicles, ride on lawn mowers and gardening equipment, fork lift trucks, storage / warehouse equipment, playground equipment and demountable office partitions.

To be considered for this exciting opportunity you should be based in either the Midlands, the north, or central Scotland ( no further north than Glasgow / Edinburgh please ) and you should be prepared to undertake a significant amount of driving, along with some overnight stays.

Although not a job for the faint hearted, the rewards are substantial, and career prospects excellent for the right career minded individual. Our client is prepared to pay a competitive basic salary of between £36k to £40k, plus a lucrative bonus designed to reward enterprise and hard work, along with a choice of either company car or car allowance.
