Eight van-mounted platforms have been bought by vehicle mounted hire company Access Hire Nationwide from Versalift UK.

The E6 platforms are mounted on 3.5 tonne GVW Ford Transits and feature stronger, lighter booms to provide an outreach of up to 8.5m with the LMC load sensing system which have more control and improved safety.

There's also greater payload ' more than 300kg ' with a safe working load of 230kg and the emergency lowering valves are now located inside the pedestal in the load area for easier access and maintenance.

Access Hire Nationwide, which is based in Normanton, West Yorkshire, specialises in van mounted platforms and 4x4 MEWPs. It operates the largest hire fleet of van mounts in the UK, which are supplied on a short-term, long-term or contract hire basis.

The company made significant capital investment in its fleet in 2016 and this latest order with Versalift will see all eight of the new ETL 36 models placed on contract hire with a client involved in the facilities maintenance and security sector.

Danny Cooper, divisional managing director at Access Hire Nationwide, said: 'Our dedicated team has extensive knowledge of the markets we support and ensure that we deliver the service required to meet our customers' needs.

'The specification of the new models was discussed with our client before confirming the order along with the technical improvements that have been incorporated. The enhanced working envelope through the Load Moment Control system will be of particular benefit.

'We have built a good relationship with Versalift over several years thanks to the confidence gained from its market leading products and effective after-service support'

Andy Bray, sales director for Versalift UK, said: 'We are delighted to continue supporting Access Hire Nationwide and further developing a relationship that goes back many years'
