Ground maintenance equipment specialist Ransomes is to launch a new line of Cushman Hauler utility vehicles in the UK.

The range, including the Hauler 1200, Hauler 1200 X, Hauler PRO and Hauler PRO-X, will be unveiled at SALTEX 2016.

The Ipswich-based company is the European distributor for the new line of utility vehicles which are suited to a range of applications. The Cushman Hauler PRO and Hauler PRO-X models feature a powerful 72-volt AC electric drive that can go 50 miles on a single charge.

This drive system provides full-time regenerative braking, redirecting energy back into the vehicle's batteries whenever the brakes are applied to extend the vehicle's range and improve its energy efficiency.

All Hauler models are available with a 340-litre (12 cubic feet) durable roto-molded polyethylene bed. The standard poly bed includes integrated divider slots to allow for increased organisation with tie-down points and D-rings. Cushman bed accessories are also available, such as storage attachments for carrying long-handled tools and storage nets.

New features include:

• A standard rear hitch receiver to help crews tow
• Limited slip differential ' standard on most models ' for ensured traction
• Premium turf tyres that grip without damaging turf
• Optional power dump for heavy lifting
• A storage pocket and net in the poly bed
• Standard 12-volt outlet for charging radios, tablets and smartphones

The vehicle's dash provides a clean, unobstructed line of sight for drivers with a central control panel that houses everything from the directional key switch and horn to the state-of-charge meter or fuel gauge and optional bed-lift switch.

Richard Tyrrell, Product Manager at Ransomes, said: 'The new Cushman Hauler range is the result of a lot of research into the requirements of green-keeping and grounds care professionals. The functionality and design of the vehicles has been well thought out and the feedback we have received so far has been overwhelmingly positive'

A wide range of customised extras are available for all new Hauler utility vehicles.
