Specialist vehicle hire and management company SHB Hire Ltd has acquired the traffic management vehicle supplier Acklea Ltd.
SHB Hire is a family owned and operated company which has provided vehicle hire and management for nearly 50 years. It has a diverse fleet of more than 14,500 vehicles operating out of 14 UK wide locations.
The acquisition is in line with SHB's strategic growth targets and vision to be the UK's partner of choice for equipment to the highways maintenance and infrastructure market.
Wiltshire-based Acklea will continue to operate from its base in Calne and operate in the same market as a division of SHB.
