Leading contract hire and rental operator Dawsonrentals has bought five Heil Farid MiniMatic refuse collection vehicles mounted on 7.5t GVW Mitsubishi Canter chassis.

The vehicles went into service in different locations around the UK in June and July.

The Heil Farid MiniMatic has an 8 cubic metre body with a Heil Farid comb bin lift. It is a fully sealed, one-piece body with compaction ratio of 3:1 with a guarantee of no leakages, aimed at the recycling or general waste collection market.

The order was placed after assessing their options for a smaller option vehicle to meet customer demand. The company already operated 20 Heil Farid PN13 vehicles mounted on 16t DAF chassis and had been happy with their performance.

Dawsonrentals managing director Paul Shires, who is based at Brighouse, West Yorkshire, said: 'We have been working with Heil Farid now for a number of years and have found that their product performance more than exceeds our expectations.

'The new MiniMatics, mounted to the 7.5t GVW Mitsubishi Canter chassis are an ideal solution where remote or restricted access is a problem and offer excellent manoeuvrability too.

'We are very pleased with the results so far and are hopeful of expanding our refuse and recycling collection vehicle spot rental and contract hire operation over time.'
