A new fleet of 40 Dennis Eagle Elite RCVs has started waste and recycling operations for United Resource Management (URM) in Sydney, Australia.
The fleet of 6x4s are made up of 30 dual control and 10 right-hand drive and have been bought for URM's operations in the Northern Beaches Council area of Sydney.
‘The safety features of the Dennis Eagle Elite played a decisive role and made it the vehicle of choice for the contract,' said URM's CEO David Johnston.

‘The safety features of these vehicles, such as the low entry cab, reverse smart technology and best visibility package align with our commitment to ensuring the wellbeing of the entire community.'
The vehicles were sold through the Penske Commercial Vehicles dealership, which worked closely with URM to identify and provide the best vehicles for the Northern Beaches Council operations.
The district runs from Manly and other coastal suburbs in the south and east to two national parks ' Garigal in the west and Ku-Ring-Gai Chase in the north. The council serves more than 250,000 residents and aims to recycle more than 70% of its waste in the year ahead while improving on the environmental impact of its collection service.
Penske's Fleet Sales Manager Kevin Copelin said the Elite was robust, reliable and easy to maintain and was the only vehicle specifically designed for waste collection duties.
‘With a five-star Direct Vision Standard rating, as recognised by Transport for London, the Elite maximises road safety for vulnerable road users, such as pedestrians and cyclists,' he said.
Dennis Eagle has sold almost 700 Elite chassis in Australia since appointing Penske Commercial Vehicles as its sole dealer in 2010.
