SOE is planning a waste and recycling round table on Wednesday 12 June at SOE HQ in London and the organisation is eager to hear about the big challenges facing this sector. Public sector fleet managers eager to join this debate, are invited to take part.

Chaired by LAPV Editor and Future Fleet Forum organiser, Ann-Marie Knegt, the topics discussed will be: Attracting talent - how to get drivers and technicians to participate in our industry.

Collaborative workshops, electric vehicle training and open data platforms are also subjects that will be high on the agenda.

Business Development Manager at SOE, Francis Mercer, said: "We want to understand the issues our members are dealing with in this sector and we want to give them a platform to share their ideas. By staging this event we intend to help find solutions to any ongoing concerns they may have.'

"The idea is to create an environment where individuals in different positions of employment in this sector can explain the issues facing them and discuss ways to move forward. The purpose of this event is to establish and share best practice," added Francis.

If you are involved in any of these sectors and would like to join the debate, contact Francis Mercer by telephone: 020 7630 2177 or email: francis.mercer@soe.org.uk
