Allison Transmission has appointed Driveline Technology, in Willenhall, and HL Smith Transmissions, in Wolverhampton, as network partners.

They join long-standing Allison authorised distributor, Mitchell Powersystems.

'By growing the service network in the UK we will increase customer engagement, providing more convenient access to parts and service, and affirming our commitment to reducing theĀ  total cost of ownership,' said Andrew Bonam, EMEA director of customer support and channel development for Allison.

'Both HL Smith Transmissions and Driveline Technology, like Mitchell Powersystems, are highly experienced service providers in the industry'

Driveline Technology is a new venture that will support Allison as an authorised direct dealer, providing customers with servicing, on-site repairs, and genuine service parts. The company is experienced in servicing and repairing automatic transmissions for heavy and light-commercial vehicles.

HL Smith Transmissions is one of Europe's leading suppliers of commercial vehicle parts. The company joins Allison's network as an authorised direct rebuilder, with the authority to remanufacture transmissions to Allison's standards. HL Smith has been involved in maintaining transmissions for the Ministry of Defence's logistical fleet for 25 years.

Mitchell Powersystems, which has partnered with Allison for more than 60 years, continues to cover the UK and Ireland as an Allison authorised distributor, handling the majority of Allison's UK servicing and reconditioning work.

The company is headquartered in Nottinghamshire and has locations in Glasgow, Birmingham, London and Romsey in Hampshire.

As a distributor, Mitchell also supports a network to independent authorised service dealers throughout the nation. Part of the Turner Group of companies, Mitchell Powersystems specialises in the comprehensive supply, service and parts-supply of diesel engines, automatic transmissions and off-highway driveline products.
