A new articulating hedge cutter ' the ECHO HCA-265ES HD ' has been launched to improve efficiency and safety when cutting high hedges.

The latest addition to the ECHO range is more than 2.4m long so that tall and wide hedges can be cut without the need for the operator to climb up a platform or ladder.

Operators can also quickly adjust the angle of the cutting head with one hand, helping to reduce downtime for repositioning. The cutting head also includes nine preset cutting angles.

The HCA-265ES HD comes with a heavy duty gear case with needle bearings caged in the cutting head, providing added durability and less downtime. The cutting head itself can be folded up to make it easier for transporting and storage between jobs.

It also features triple-edged blades and a faster cutter speed stroke rate of 4696/min. The blades on the cutting head are nickel-plated and laser-cut for long lasting sharpness.

The HCA-265ES HD also has a 25.4cc engine and an Easy Start system which allows the user to start the machine faster and with little effort. The shaft grip handle has been designed, with the controls grouped close together for ease-of-use, better manoeuvrability and control.

A tool-less air filter cover allows for easy access even with gloves on, making it easier to clean the air filters while the felt air filter helps to keep dust and debris away from the engine, contributing to longer service intervals and better engine performance.
