Following the acquisition of Go Plant in the summer by Essential Fleet Services, the successful merger of the two businesses has now been completed.

Since the 1 December, the combined business have operated under the new name of Go Plant Fleet Services Ltd.  The merger has brought together two businesses with customers across the public and private sectors, group sales of £80 million, more than 500 employees and 35 depots and service centres across the UK.

The enlarged aims to partner both public sector and corporate organisations in the hire, rental, contract hire and maintenance of specialist vehicles.

Several recent appointments have been made to the senior leadership team.

Mandy Brown has joined Go Plant Fleet Services as national business development director. Mandy joins with 15 years' experience developing business, both directly in the public sector and with large corporate organisations who deliver key services in that space.

Philip Quelch has been appointed as national fleet engineering director after holding a similar position at Serco for nine years, and bringing with him more 30 years fleet and plant vehicle experience.

And Arthur Macklin has joined the company as bid manager, bringing with him a wealth of bid and tender experience with organisations including Highways England, Balfour Beatty, Aggregate Industries and Go Plant.
