The Nottinghamshire highways services venture Via East Midlands Limited has bought a 12-tonne, four-post Stertil Koni lift to support maintenance and servicing operations at its Bilsthorpe depot.

The depot, which is an approved MOT test station and fully equipped workshop, is responsible for maintenance and servicing of a mixed fleet including pick-up trucks, minibuses, HGV tipper trucks, low-floor buses and specialised highways operation vehicles run by the County Council-based venture. The workshop operates a full daily shift, five days a week using four Stertil Koni lifts virtually non-stop.

The lifts include two ST4120 4-post lifts and two ST4070 4-post lifts with lifting capacities of 12 and seven tonnes respectively.

Stertil Koni has also supplied a range of ancillary equipment to augment the lifts' operations including jacking beams, lighting and air kits.

'Our existing Stertil Koni lifts have been so reliable in a sometimes hectic working environment that we had no hesitation in purchasing the latest ST4120 four-post lift,' said Dave Shaw, Workshop Operations Manager at the Bilsthorpe Depot.

'Our workshop engineers are also very pleased with the lifts which are fast and smooth in operation and provide unobstructed access to raised vehicles at a comfortable working height'
