Versalift UK has obtained type approval on the Isuzu D-Max pick-up, mounted with the new, fully-hydraulic, heavy-duty Versalift LAT135-H.

The type approval covers the mounting of the Versalift platform, along with the uprating of the standard single cab pick-up to 3.5 tonne GVW on off-road tyres.

The LAT135-H has a working height of 13.3 metres, an outreach of 6.1 metres, 230kg SWL platform capacity and has been tested to the highest stability standard.

Versalift Sales Director Andy Bray said: 'After consulting our utility customers, we can offer real innovation with this new platform. Our new short front radial outriggers exert far lower stresses on the vehicle chassis than conventional 'A' Frame, while addressing the misconception that the outrigger spread is increased. But they also improve stability while working at height.

'The low travel height has significantly improved the driving experience, both on and off road.'

An innovative 'boom stow' mechanism enables entry to the walk-in bucket from both the chassis and ground level.

Options include certified LV insulation, earth bonding and Chapter 8 compliance.
