Twelve new refuse collection vehicles have been delivered to Nottingham City Council as part of a framework agreement between Terberg Matec UK and Nottinghamshire Vehicle Procurement Consortium.
A further three vehicles are currently in build and due for delivery over the coming weeks.
Terberg Matec UK is one year into a third successive four-year framework agreement, designed to deliver greater efficiency through the formation of strong working relationships with suppliers.
Terberg Matec UK is working with Dennis Eagle to supply complete refuse collection vehicle solutions, and the latest order features Olympus bodies on Elite 6 chassis, fitted with a variety of Terberg electric bin lifts, including the OmniDEKA (E), OmniTRADE (E) and OmniDEL (E) models.
Three of the bin lifts are also fitted with Terberg's Vehicle Data Hub (VDH) Dynamic Weighing and Identification system certified to a pay-by-weight status, offering a reliable and accurate solution for chargeable waste collection.
Andrew Smith, assistant manager (fleet) at Nottingham City Council, said: 'All our new vehicles now feature electric bin lifts and this is something we have insisted on for some time due to the benefits they provide in terms of fuel efficiency and noise reduction.
'We're also utilising the bodies of the vehicles as mobile billboards, carrying key messages aimed at trade customers and the general public.
'Being part of the consortium delivers a number of advantages, including improved efficiency through streamlined procurement processes.
'We also benefit from having a single point of contact for our procurement and aftermarket needs, with a great aftersales service provided by the dedicated contract support engineers from both Terberg and Dennis Eagle'
