Bin collections in Coventry are to restart today after a senior member of the city council’s bin crew tragically lost their life while undertaking their duties.
In a statement last Friday, the city council said: ‘We are co-operating fully with the Police and the Health and Safety Executive and supporting all staff.
‘The thoughts of everyone at Coventry City Council are with the family and friends.’
The council temporarily stopped all bin collections to provide support for crew members and restarted them again today.
